Curtis Construction Completes Herring Brook Hill

Herring Brook Hill is an 18-unit, 4-story wood frame senior affordable housing project  developed by Metrowest CDC, designed by Resolution Architects and was completed by Curtis Construction in 10-months.

Construction News

Curtis Construction was on hand October 10th as the Town of Norwell celebrated the completion of Herring Brook Hill, an affordable senior housing project on the site of the former Norwell Police Station.  The 4-story, 18-unit building was developed by Metro West Collaborative Development. Designed by Resolution Architects, Curtis Construction served as the Construction Manager for the $4.7M project.

The existing 20,000 square foot building was razed and the site prepped to make way for a new four-story, 18-unit wood framed building consisting of 14 one-bedroom apartments, and four two-bedroom apartments; three of the units are fully handicap-accessible. The building will have daily property staff, and the developers are planning to have regular program offerings in conjunction with South Shore Elder Services, the Norwell Council on Aging, and the Norwell Visiting Nurses Association.

Located at 40 River Street, Norwell, the project includes 1 and 2 bedroom units, a community room and fitness center. Some units are handicap accessible and all units were built to reduce energy expenses.
