Curtis Construction is your partner from conception to completion.

We seek out clients that will benefit the most from our firm’s unique capabilities, clients with challenging projects, complex compliance requirements and those that need a high level of confidence that all contractor commitments will be fulfilled.

Our projects range from small tenant fit-outs to new ground-up construction to complex adaptive re-use, often with substantial complexities. We are a trusted partner of many numerous leading private developers, institutions, and nonprofit organizations. We are often the preferred choice for projects that will happen only once or twice in the organization’s lifetime, recognizing our pledge to get it right and make it last.

Our firm’s mission is to be a leading building contractor that consistently exhibits the highest standard of integrity, commitment and professionalism in all of our endeavors, ensuring our clients’ projects are completed on time, on budget, and with the attention to quality design and construction each initiative deserves. We don’t walk away until we are satisfied that the results are ones that we are proud to call Curtis Construction projects.

Construction Management

Construction managers act as the general contractor, but in addition, we provide input during schematic and design development, with the ultimate goal of aiding in the design process to avoid conflicts and miscommunications during the execution of a completed set of drawings. We review constructibility, logistics, alternative means, methods, and materials. We also provide input to logistics and phasing, pre-order long lead items, and identify areas where we may encounter challenges.

Relying on a trusted array of subcontractors, we balance competitive pricing with stellar performance and make the best recommendation to suit the project situation.

General Contracting

General Contractors provide all permits, materials, labor, equipment and services, either self-performed or through qualified subcontractors managed by our superintendents.  Our emphasis is on proactive communications, accurate reporting and realistic schedules.  These services are generally based on a set of approved construction documents.

Demands of the project may also require:

  • Winter conditions
  • Demolition/recycling
  • Cash flow management
  • LEED Certification
  • Green Building Knowledge
  • WBE/MBE
  • Section 3

Design/
Build

This delivery method can allow projects to be more streamlined and efficient. We act as the sole source of accountability and manage the entire team under our umbrella. Thus, the design, engineering, and entire management come packaged as one resource. This can be highly advantageous in fast-track and remote location projects in particular.

Additional Services

Pre-construction: Performing constructability and design reviews, preparing estimates and schedules, evaluating construction sequencing and phasing, permitting, performing value engineering, logistics planning, preparing cash flow projections, risk identification, developing procurement strategies, and pre-qualifying subcontractors.

Value Engineering: Utilizing a systematic and creative analysis, we will help determine how best to achieve the necessary function, performance, and reliability at the minimum life cycle cost. The focus is to ensure that the proposed design provides the greatest value for the specified budget in terms of cost, schedule, quality, and performance.

Site and Building Evaluation: We can help with due diligence and assessment of site and building conditions that will affect cost, schedule and logistics.

Utility Coordination: We can work with local regulatory authorities to ensure that utilities are properly coordinated and scheduled with construction activities.
